Mr. Vanderbloemen
Mr. Vanderbloemen is in his 17th year here in McFarland (26th year as a Band Director). He is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin - Madison and also has a Master's Degree in Conducting from Southern Oregon University. Mr. Vanderbloemen started in 6th grade on the Alto Saxophone, and through the years studied the Clarinet and Flute before heading off to college to become a music teacher. Mr. V is a member of the Madison Jazz Orchestra where he plays Alto, Tenor and Baritone Saxophone, he performs in Pit Orchestras for local theatre groups, and is in his 22nd year as Co-Founder and Conductor of the Madison Wind Ensemble.
Mr. Vanderbloemen is married to Anne, who is also a Band Director (Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District), and together they have three children, Rachel, Savon and Charlie. They family loves going to musicals together, watching movies, visiting relatives, and, from time to time, taking the big Family Vacation.
